Spudpic was our own homegrown TwitPic from 2009 till sometime 2014ish
During the early days of Twitter, there was no way to post images with your tweets. So someone invented TwitPic. Of course, I wasn't one much to enjoy publishing my content for someone else's enrichment, so coded my own solution.
I had an email address that I could send an email to. Any image that was attached was stripped out and stored on the server. The subject line was parsed and then via the Twitter API, the image URL was posted to Twitter with the subject line as the tweet. It worked bloody briliantly.
These are the images posted via Spudpic. Keep in mind the phone camera's that existed in 2009 to about 2011 when Twitter finally allowed images with Tweets which explains why quality and size is so poor.
