It's Jody and Brads thirteenth wedding anniverary tomorrow. Or today depending on the time zone. Actually it could be any day based on when you read this but thats not my problem. It's Gabba and my 13th anniversary this year too.

The official gift for the 13th is Lace or Textiles/Fur. Bloody hell that sucks. In fact every year from now on sucks. It's all girly stuff like ruby or saphire or jade or pearl. There is also Ivory, but good luck getting some of that, and the 35th is coral. Yeah, thats romantic, a gnarly lump of tiny dead animals. There almost isn't any reason to stay married now.

The 11th was a good year, it's steel. Now you're talking! I can think of all sort of cool things made of steel.

Gabba wouldn't let me take a photo of anything lacy, or at least anything that I could publish on the internet anyway. So that left textiles (which is gay) and fur. The cat is the only thing I found around here that's made of fur, and bloody hell he was hard to photo too. Gabba, how about you make me a fur hat for our 13th anniversary?

Happy Anniversary Jody and Brad!

  • Thanks for the good wishes on our anniversary, mate! Yes, we agree that the "official" anniversary gift choices SUCK! Brad and I have no idea what lacy or furry thing to get, so we'll just go out for dinner together instead . . . minus children! Now you're talking! Hey, now Brad has an idea. We'll eat something that WAS furry on a lace tablecloth and that should take care of the whole anniversary thing in one fell swoop! How's that? hehe
