This is where we went, what we listened to, tweeted, coded, blogged and spent on this day
I signed up to Threads, with the only intention of protecting my Global Micro-Brand, and with no intention of using it.
After completing the mission, of course it showed me some posts. The second of which was from Jordan Bloody Peterson.
So that was a confirmation of nope, Threads is not for me and then deleted the app from my phone
@spudooli@mastodon.nzI've spent hours and hours writing code to auto categorise the data in our bank statements only to now give up because the data isn't consistent.
Our Local Bunnings can appear on the statement as
Bunnings-9470 North
or
Bunnings - 9470 (followed by 2 numeric chars assumed to be a date)
All the others have at least 2 sometimes 3 different ways the same company can appear on the statement.
How many ways can banks continue to suck?
@spudooli@mastodon.nzCoding with the help of Chat Gippity and Github Copilot is all good until you really just want to ask it to "make this table showing the play counts of each artist played on Auckland radio stations for the last month look cool" and it's got no good answer so I have to code it all on my own, like a bloody cave man
