I have about 4 drawers at home that are full of small artefacts and mementos of my life.

There is a single drum stick I stole from high school 40+ years ago. A door handle from an old Cook Strait ferry that came off in my hand in a very rough crossing. The arm band with badges from when I was at Boys Brigade. Photos, of course. Various key rings of old cars... And 1000 other bits of junk.

I don't need any of it but I can't bring myself to dump it so it continues to exist.
