I put my ear muffs on to use the circular saw and then an hour later, long after finished using the saw, still have the ear muffs on, in my own very quiet world, working on my project.

And then it seems weird when I take them off, that I'm back amongst everyone else again.

If my father was in a grave (he's not, he's in a small box on the floor here in my man cave) he'd be spinning at how cheaply I sold all his wood working machinery.

But it's all off now with some good buggers to make guitars, TV and movie sets, build houses and furniture.
