A couple of things I noticed in Melbourne last week was there was bike lanes everywhere. And the speed limits were much lower. 40 on all the roads we have as 50 here and 80 almost everywhere where we'd have 100. It wasn't until you were a long way from town that the speed increased to 100. And really good public transport was everywhere.
