The dilemma of updating my desktop at home which is also my everything server. Do I click the button?

Ubuntu has been really bollocks in the last few years with updates and especially with video. You can even see that there in the screenshot with the weird tiny window label and I'm still running 22.04.

My Ubuntu desktop at the office was a complete shambles when I upgraded it to 24.04. In the end I had to install from scratch and it's still not good.
