My desktop PC at work has started to crash repeatedly. We've half heartedly swapped ram and graphics card but it's still very unhappy.

Because I have Director in my job title I authorized myself a new PC, given it's now 6 years old, after asking the boss if it was ok. So this arvo I've chosen mobo and CPU and graphics and SSD and AIO cooler. Will reuse existing case and PSU (hopefully, can't recall what's in there already).

Part of me wants an outlandish custom rig build, but I'm done with the constant crashing and restarts, so boring box it is.

Just filled in a leave form for the first week in August to head to Wellington for the regular ex Public Trust worker get together thing that we attempted back in March (was it?). Wellington is at its best in August, right? :-)

@gabba will fly down, so I get to pick to the best roads, just me and the car.

If the weather is great, then Forgotten World Highway it is. If the weather is only good, then SH4 to Whanganui and then south. If the weather is terrible the SH1 to Mangaweka, then left to Kimbolton and Fielding and over the new highway to Woodville, then south through the Wairarapa. Because happiness is the corner and the journey is the best part.
