This is our house shaking after that 8+ earthquake off the eastern coast of Russia in the Kamchatka Peninsula region. That's 10,000km away and our house shook.

The planet is cool!

And it's not very often, actually the first I can recall, that we can see 2 earthquakes on the same day on the day trace.

One is a quake near Fiji earlier today and the other the huge Russian quake.

I got that alert thing to my phone while driving on the motorway between the Harbour Bridge and Esmonde offramp.

Aside from all the other cars that got it too and had to read it while they were driving, I was keeping a close eye on the bloody water there to see if it was going to recede or not
