4 years ago I bought a 10 year smoke detector and installed it, knowing it would not last 10 years. I distinctly remember standing in my man cave under said smoke detector with the box it came in and the receipt in hand thinking "that will not last 10 years, so will keep these and go back to Bunnings and get a new one".

This morning, at 4am, the bloody thing started beeping.

Now I can't find the box with the incriminating evidence on it and the receipt.

The price to replace it is tiny, but once again Bunnings wins, selling crappy products. The products all have one star reviews on their own website, yet those buggers at Bunnings continue to stock the product.

Good rant! Will unclench fists now.
