I was just sitting in another risk assessment meeting for a thing happening next week, where in part we think of everything that could go wrong and check we have mitigations and plan b. Knowing full well that us just thinking of the bad things will induce the IT Gods to make those bad things happen. And even worse, stating out loud that I'm not particularly worried about one of those risks will even further enrage the IT Gods for that exact one thing.

So I just sit there with my mouth shut, lest I goad them into action
