We're writing 2 RFPs at the moment. Don't get me started on how bollocks RFPs are for getting a good solution, mutter, mutter.

Anyways, one has specified max 30 pages and the other a max 20 page response, which means some brutal editing to get very complex ideas and requirements down succinctly.

The worst part is when I've written a mind smashingly good (and short) paragraph that I'm very proud of... and it doesn't make the edit. Words that will never be seen again.

For better or worse, and quite possibly because i have spent the last 4 days contributing to writing 3 RFP responses, with at least 5 days to go of them, I have added to the kitchen dashboard the number of days I have left until retirement, 2,370 days, where upon I stand up from my desk, at 2pm because fuck the time by then, give everyone near me the 2 finger salute, because of my age I have never been one for the middle finger, I think I'm too old for that, and walk out telling them all I may, or may, not remember them as someone I used to work with.

And right there accept the Mastodon prize fior the longest run on sentence of all time. Two finger salute. Picture me right now, 2 hands, 4 fingers, grimace face.
