I've spent the morning coding up a replacement for Google Analytics for 2 of my sites and have now removed Google from them both. Google can eat a bag of chips!

It's a pretty basic reporting of visitors and page views, but I'm amazed how much easier and nicer it is to use compared to GA. It also properly tracks RSS reader usage which GA completely doesn't.

Now I just need to find somewhere to sell the first party data I have available for the 9 visitors that have visited the site since I put it into production...

You know you are getting old when you start to add this line in the CSS of the websites you have built for yourself so that you can read what you have made easier.

I post this here today so that when I up it to 1.4 or 1.5 or even 2, I can track either my eyesight or the screen resolution I'm running in the future.
