Last night we went to the Christmas light show at Smales Farm. It was kinda cool, and the giblets got to see Santa and get the obligatory lollipop from him.
As my Ma commented last night on IM (I still can't get to grips with the fact my mother is on IM) we spend a lot of time teaching the kids not to talk to strange men and to certainly not take sweets from them. December rolls around and suddenly it's fine for little kids to even sit on the laps of grinning old men.
The guy in the photo was spinning a flaming stick. He was a little dodgy though. He dropped it a couple of times, which really meant the flaming stick spun off towards the crowd.
For the family
The little geeks came home with their end of year reports today. Both of them are smarter than the average bear. Sarah got straight As! Ali did pretty good too with some As. But of course she had to do a lot of catching up on the reading thing after her time in the US. The school has been bloody excellent by giving her all the help she needed. Once again we are grateful the giblets are going to such a good school.
