This cactus has been in our family for generations apparently. I'm buggered if I know why because the bloody thing is evil. I'm covered in little barb things it stuck into my skin which are as itchy as hell. Who knows what other toxins it has leached into my boidy? for all I know it could be making me sterile right now even as I type this.

But I don't know how to look after it. Ma, how often do we water it and where in the house should it live?

I could have moved it to a better location and light to get a decent photo. But the bloody thing kept jabbing me, so I wasn't going to move it any more.

  • Why don't you put glow in the dark stickers on the cupboards so at night when the range hood light is out you will see the stickers - great idea from the Jones Family

  • The cactus has been in the family for over 80 years and has managed to prickle at least 4 generations so just hang it somewhere out of the way and it will look after itself. Incidentaly it won a prize for "Best in Show" when it was in a flower show about 20 years ago (it was in flower)
