I had forgotten Gabba's Camera had a macro mode on it. I can now make little things look big. I immediately thought of something that I could photograph to make look much bigger, but then realized my mother reads this website so changed my mind.

In between rain squalls I went out this morning trying to find bugs to photo, but it was too bloody windy and I have almost no control over what her point and shoot camera focuses on. This is the best macro photo I managed. It's the evil cactus I photo'd back in Feb.

Expect to see lots of these kinds of shots until I get sick of them. I'm going to try every cliched macro shot under the sun for a bit while I learn this new skill.

  • that is a very beautiful cactus (I am glad to see it is still alive) that is over 80 years old. Wait til it flowers then you will have some great pictures.

  • It flowers once every 150 years.....so you've only got 70 years to wait!!
