While I was watching the log file of my website just now, a bot decided to smash the site with a total of 2500 some requests at a rate of well over 50 requests a second.

By the time I'd blocked the useragent at the proxy server they had stopped.

But quite pleased that the average request time was around 120 milliseconds with the max at 356ms and the fastest 88ms.

Free load testing every now and then is ok I guess.

Our @gabba went the the rugby this arvo with some of our friends. I didn't have to go because, rugby.

But now they are going on to drinks and dinner after the game. I already started that here at home on my own with a margarita and Winamp.

She says I can Uber to join them, which is true. I haven't used Uber in years, but happy for UAE or the Saudi's or someone to subsidise my trip to somewhere in Albany.

I note my Uber star rating is 4.76. Is that good? Or bad? Will someone come get me or avoid with that score?

The future sucks that everything I do now has me scored out of 5.

They have decided to go to the Dark Horse instead. It's a pub about 600 metres from our house. I've never been there. But no Uber needed now as I get to walk, like a caveman.

I will give myself a 5 star rating for that walk, I'm almost certain.
